The Latest Obamaism

"AP - President Barack Obama plans to propose the first-ever national emission limits for cars and trucks as well as average mileage requirements of 35.5 miles per gallon by 2016 — all costing consumers an extra $1,300 per vehicle."

Genius. Let's charge people more money for cars. That'll save the auto industry.

  1. he does mean well though....

the problem is that he trying to do too many things at once. health-care reform, bailout, emissions, peace-process...maybe his plan is to do it early in his term, then by the time re-election comes up, people will have forgotten the mess of the first year

  2. You could be right. Maybe he does mean well. And I know that there are plenty of people who believe that $1300 is a small price to pay for a better environment, but now isn't the time to be raising prices on Americans. People aren't buying as it is; it'll get even worse if prices go up!

  4. Hey FF,

Where have you been? I had a baby 7 weeks ago, so I haven't been online as much, but I doubt that's why you haven't been posting...

    We want more FF!

  5. Congrats, Joe! That's wonderful news.

I've been pretty busy lately. I've been working on a local political campaign, getting back to school, dealing with the holidays... I've been working on a new post that should be out soon, though.

    Thanks for your comment!
