The Latest Obamaism
"AP - President Barack Obama plans to propose the first-ever national emission limits for cars and trucks as well as average mileage requirements of 35.5 miles per gallon by 2016 all costing consumers an extra $1,300 per vehicle."
Genius. Let's charge people more money for cars. That'll save the auto industry.
the problem is that he trying to do too many things at once. health-care reform, bailout, emissions, peace-process...maybe his plan is to do it early in his term, then by the time re-election comes up, people will have forgotten the mess of the first year
You could be right. Maybe he does mean well. And I know that there are plenty of people who believe that $1300 is a small price to pay for a better environment, but now isn't the time to be raising prices on Americans. People aren't buying as it is; it'll get even worse if prices go up!
I've been pretty busy lately. I've been working on a local political campaign, getting back to school, dealing with the holidays... I've been working on a new post that should be out soon, though.

ReplyDeleteHey FF,
ReplyDeleteWhere have you been? I had a baby 7 weeks ago, so I haven't been online as much, but I doubt that's why you haven't been posting...
We want more FF!
Joe
